Out-the-box thinking

I’ve gotten into a new medium recently – Graphic Novels – and I’m lovin them.  I’ve had Reader’s Block for quite a while now and found that Graphic Novels are easier to get into. They live at that exciting intersection between Word & Image and can often convey stuff that could never be conveyed in written word alone. Here’s a snippet:

These  3 panels from Alan Moore’s “A Small Killing” are pure “out the box” thinking. Not sure if you’ve worked out the above 3 panels, but scroll a little way down to the next panel in the sequence and then all will be explained:
